CALLUM STYLES confesses he has no idea whether Sunderland plan to make his loan contract from Barnsley permanent this summer.

Styles arrived to Wearside from Oakwell in January, with his first loan agreement going until the end of the season.

When announcing the loan swap, Sunderland stated that they had included a condition in the agreement that allows them to complete a permanent transfer when the window reopens later this summer.

While Styles has made a great impression in the previous three months, making ten senior appearances in a variety of positions, he is yet to be granted a permanent contract at the Stadium of Light.

“I’ve had no discussions,” said Styles, who started as a left wing-back in Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Millwall before converting to center midfield in the second half. “I’m just focusing on football, that’s for other people to discuss.”
