Chris Sutton brutally writes players off as he makes Nottingham Forest vs West Ham prediction

Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive as Chris Sutton discusses the Premier League clash with West Ham.

Chris Sutton acknowledges that Nottingham Forest vs. West Ham in the Premier League is “a hard one to call.”

On Saturday, Nuno’s Reds take on the Hammers at the City Ground. Both sides are still chasing their first victory of 2024. While West Ham has lost its previous five league games and was humiliated 6-0 by Arsenal, Forest has not tasted victory since defeating Manchester United at home on December 30.

Sutton told the BBC that “it’s fair to say that both these teams need a victory.” It is difficult to call because neither team has earned a victory in the league in 2024.

“When considering West Ham, one would often consider whether they will recover from Arsenal’s 6-0 home victory. I’ll say that they won’t.

“We are aware that David Moyes‘ teams have shown resiliency in the past, but I can’t support anyone who suffered such a severe loss the week before. It takes more than just rotating it around with a few finger clicks.

“The Hammers can’t afford to be as careless as they were against Arsenal, but I’m going to side with Nottingham Forest to win.”

Sutton’s prediction: 2-1
