Things appear to be moving quickly at Nottingham Forest when it comes to the club getting things prepared for the PSR deadline.
Report claims how Nuno Espirito Santo will feel at Moussa Niakhate sale
Niakhate’s appointment for a physical by Lyon suggests that Forest will not have him for the upcoming season.
Espirito Santo doesn’t seem to be very happy about this, based on a story from the beginning of June.
The Athletic then stated that Espirito Santo, a major supporter of Niakhate, would oppose any deal for the midfielder.
He will now need to take his medication since the club has determined that he is the fall man when it comes to meeting the standards for the upcoming PSR cycle.
Niakhate played in five of Forest’s final five games to ensure that they finished the season in the Premier League. He made many appearances for Espirito Santo last season.
Forest will now have to appease Espirito Santo with new signings
Although the head coach perhaps won’t be too happy with this he will have to understand it’s a case of needs must for the football club.
However, he will now have every right to demand that the hierarchy bring new players to the football club before the season starts.
Defenders will absolutely be a must. Murillo is being courted by Chelsea, leaving Willy Boly and Andrew Omobamidele as the only enforcers in the ranks.
The profit that Forest can make from Niakhate will take them close to the PSR requirements but the board have to tread carefully when it comes to the morale of the head coach.
