Dr Rajpal Brar reports that Aston Villa defender Alex Moreno would be forced to miss the games against Olympiacos and Brighton because of a calf issue.
According to the injury expert, he was supposed to return to training by the end of April, but that hasn’t happened yet, which may indicate the injury is more serious than initially thought.
This implies that he might find the matches against Olympiacos on May 2 and Brighton on May 5 to be too soon.
Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, discussed this scenario with Villa News.
“This might be a Grade 2 injury if his recovery date for the ailment was two or three weeks ago.
“In that scenario, I would have anticipated his return to training during the final week of April.”
“But since he hasn’t returned and there’s a good chance he won’t be well enough to play in the next few games, this does seem to be more serious.”
Alex Moreno has not been a regular for Aston Villa
The 30-year-old last appeared for Unai Emery’s team on April 14 at the Emirates in a 2-0 victory over Arsenal.
Only eleven of his twenty Premier League appearances this season have come from the starting eleven.
