Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Ipswich Town is about to sign another “unbelievable” talent.

Ipswich Town Transfer News

Kieran McKenna’s team has struggled in the Premier League, losing their first two matches and recognizing the significant difference in quality between the Championship and the top division. To be fair, they have had to face Liverpool and Manchester City, and their respective 2-0 and 4-1 defeats are hardly embarrassing.

Ipswich may believe that further additions are required in the summer transfer window to give themselves the best possible opportunity of avoiding relegation, and it appears that potential targets are still being pursued, with several rumors circulating in recent days.

Jack Clarke, a Sunderland winger, joins McKenna’s side as the 10th player to sign before the deadline next Friday.

Ipswich are interested in Anel Ahmedhodzic, who is looking to leave Sheffield United. However, one defender is expected to join the club as the 11th addition this season.

Ipswich Town agree to sign “unbelievable” player.

According to Romano on X, Ipswich have agreed to sign Burnley centre-back Dara O’Shea for a five-year contract at Portman Road.

O’Shea might be another wise addition for the Tractor Boys before the window shuts, since he has lots of experience while still being young enough to spend his prime years with the club.

The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international has earned 26 caps and has been praised by Slaven Bilic throughout their time at West Brom.

“He listens to everything, and that is a significant part of his development. He listens and thinks about his game. He’s like a sponge. He listens to you and strives to improve his game, which is why his progress has been quite remarkable. When you compare where he was last season at this time to where he is today, it’s like a fairytale. But he deserves everything.”

O’Shea’s Premier League experience (61 games) makes him a valuable addition to the team, allowing him to immediately contribute.

McKenna’s dominant performance in two Championship games for Burnley this season has resulted in an average of 4.5 clearances and two aerial battle victories per game, making him a valuable acquisition.
