Jonathan Rowe is sent on loan to Marseille by Norwich City, and Ante Crnac is signed.

Following his departure from Polish team Raków Częstochowa, Norwich City signed Croatian forward Ante Crnac, strengthening their attacking options.

Under contract for four years, with a one-year option held by the club, the 20-year-old player joins. Crnac said of his delight at joining Norwich, “I cannot describe how excited I am, and I can’t wait to get on the pitch and play.” Crnac has represented Croatia at all youth levels, from under-14s to under-21s.

After entering the Dinamo Zagreb junior system and playing for Slaven Belupo, Crnac began his professional career with Moslavina. In the Europa League, he made an appearance while playing for Raków Częstochowa.

Sporting Director Ben Knapper praised the young forward’s potential, saying, “Ante is a very exciting talent, and someone we have been tracking for some time.”

He stated that Crnac “will need time to adapt to his new surroundings, teammates, and style of play, but we believe he can have success here in both the medium and long term.”

Along with this new addition, Norwich City has announced the season-long loan of 21-year-old attacker Jonathan Rowe to Olympique de Marseille. The French team has the option to purchase Rowe at the end of the current campaign as part of the loan arrangement.

Born into Norwich’s youth system, Rowe has improved dramatically in recent years. He scored 13 goals in all competitions the previous season and was named to the England U23s squad for the first time in October of 2023.

About his exit, Knapper remarked, “We were excited to have Johnny as a valuable member of our team for the season and years to come. We’re happy that we were able to move swiftly and effectively to make sure the club got the greatest deal, even though we were disappointed with some of the events that transpired in recent weeks.

Rowe is a terrific athlete and a nice guy, and we will all continue to monitor his growth, Knapper said, wishing him luck in his new endeavour.
