agreement completed: Sunderland approves a £20 million transfer agreement, and Ipswich Town is anticipated to reveal

Jack Clarke, a winger, was sold by Sunderland to Ipswich Town after he cleared the Premier League team’s medical.

The Echo has learnt that Jack Clarke’s agreement to join Ipswich Town went through without a hitch.

The former Leeds United and Tottenham winger cost the Premier League team £15 million up front, with an additional £5 million added to the deal. On the other hand, Spurs will be owed 25%.

It is understood that the transfer is now completed and confirmed, meaning Clarke is no longer a player for Sunderland. The player underwent his physical with Ipswich Town on Friday, and The Echo has been informed that the winger passed with flying colours as predicted. When the agreement is ready, the two teams should make an announcement.

Although head coach Regis Le Bris had earlier on Thursday stated that Clarke was still available for selection on Saturday, discussions took place throughout the day and ultimately resulted in his departure from Wearside. The newly promoted team made a sizable bid this week.
