Aberdeen v Celtic – Match Preview, Team News, Interview with Elena and Where to Watch

Celtic FC Women have their first away day of the season tomorrow as they take on Aberdeen at the Balmoral Stadium…

After an unexpected start that has seen their goal difference stand at -16 after just three games played, the hosts secured their first victory of the season in their most recent match. Since Colin Bell left, they have been without a manager. Stuart Glennie is the acting head coach in the meantime.

Celtic defeated Motherwell 5-1 at the Excelsior on Wednesday, extending their winning start to the campaign. After acknowledging that she was dissatisfied with the way her team performed against Glasgow City, Elena Sadiku expressed her happiness with the Ghirls’ performance versus the Women of Steel.

She remarked, “I think that sometimes the bad thing about me as a coach is that I never really get satisfied.” “I’m constantly craving more.”

“But it’s also, I think we did it pretty well against Motherwell, the things that we train on and things that we want to achieve as a team,” the woman continued.

Elena verified that Luana Muñoz is not available due to a minor hip injury. It appears like Chloe Logan is still out for the time being. This week, Amy Richardson and Kit Loferski returned to training; however, Elena acknowledged that this has caused her some trouble.

The manager clarified, “We have a situation in the squad now where two players need to go out if they come back.” Thus, it’s a contest to see who is most deserving of a seat on the squad.

When Luana returns, the same reasoning will now hold true, giving the championship-winning head coach yet another issue.

Match Officials

This match will be refereed by Duncan Nicolson. Graeme Jack and James Coull help him.

Kick-off Time

Aberdeen against Celtic FC Women begins off at 1pm at the Balmoral Stadium in Aberdeen.

Where to Watch

The game will be televised live on BBC Sport Scotland.

Score Prediction

With Aberdeen’s terrible start to the season, I believe we can achieve another large win against them. I predict Aberdeen 0 Celtic 12. Our editor predicts a 5-0 win for the Ghirls.

A strong victory could help us with goal differential, which we know is vital in the SWPL. The Rangers are now leading the way, therefore we need more goals to ensure that this does not become a concern later in the season.
