CAUGHT ON FILM : LUTON TOWN 1-4 BURNLEY.

Take a tour of the Championship grounds with Luton Town supporter Sarah and her film camera in our brand-new “Caught on Film” series.

Sarah made her way back to Kenilworth Road and the Championship for the first-ever series opener between the 2024–2025 Seas Luton team and thousands of supporters.

To be quite honest, I had no idea what to write about the movie I had seen on the opening day of the season. I am aware that social media represents our fan base in miniature, but in light of the Burnley result and our seeming inaction throughout the transfer window, the sentiments expressed on the platform varied from depressing to frightening, something we had not seen since the Graeme Jones era.

We have confirmed the arrivals of Liam Walsh and Mark McGuinness since getting the developed film, and there have also been some strong rumours that Tom Krauß is headed to Bedfordshire. The current situation feels far more appropriate for some cinematic images of a sun-drenched Kenilworth Road than it did last week.

Even though it was a night we will never forget, returning to our church before Christmas and having another chance to win the title made me feel like a child again. You only need to glance at the “NO SMOKI” sign at the main stand to realise that you’re home, even though the stairs have received a fresh coat of paint.

Pompey and Oxford are just two of the many wonderfully memorable midweek nights spent beneath the lights at Kenilworth Road. However, I believe that the ancient girl has just as much magic when she is showered in sunlight to welcome a new season.
