Report: Tottenham considering bid for “beautiful” £30 million ex-player after Solanke

Tottenham Hotspur are considering recruiting a £30 million ex-player to replace a departing player, according to technical director Johann Lange.

Spurs seal £65 million deal for Dominic Solanke

Spurs completed a £65 million agreement for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, making him manager Ange Postecoglou’s main priority.

According to journalist David Ornstein, the Australian coveted the 26-year-old striker more than any other in the club’s price range. He scored 21 goals in all competitions for the Cherries the previous season.

Spurs moved rapidly to negotiate a big-money deal this week, after getting indications that Solanke was very interested in a transfer to Tottenham this summer.

The Englishman is now ready to go to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the Lilywhites paying £57 million upfront and £8 million in add-ons to cover Solanke’s £65 million release clause (Fabrizio Romano).

Tottenham are reportedly in talks to sign a new winger and full-back, indicating a hectic final few weeks of the transfer window for Postecoglou, Lange, and chairman Daniel Levy.

There is also the subject of Emerson Royal’s relocation to AC Milan. After months of negotiations, the Brazilian will finally settle on a move to the San Siro. According to Romano, he rejected four to five different proposals to join Milan, and Spurs have now agreed to sell him for more than £13 million.

“Emerson Royal to AC Milan: here we go! Romano said on X yesterday that a deal for over €15 million has been reached with Spurs.

“Agreement with Emerson made in May, as he solely chose Milan despite four or five approaches. Emerson is leaving #THFC to work on a project in Milan. Travel plans are in the works.

Tottenham considering Walker-Peters to replace Emerson

Of course, with the 25-year-old moving to Serie A, Postecoglou will need to find a replacement for star right-back Pedro Porro. Emerson also played left-back at times last season, so Spurs need to sign a full-back who can cover for both Porro and Destiny Udogie.

Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters

The Boot Room reports that Southampton star and former player Kyle Walker-Peters is still on their radar. Tottenham are reportedly mulling a move for Walker-Peters, with a £30 million buy-back clause.

Russell Martin described the English footballer as a “beautiful” player. He played for the Saints during their promotion to the Premier League last season.
