Romano said the dynamic attacker’s medical appointment for his fourth Tottenham acquisition is scheduled.

The fourth player Tottenham is supposedly close to acquiring is a gifted winger, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed that an agreement is near for the player.

In addition to spending nearly £40 million on Archie Grey and Lucas Bergvall, who formally joined the team this summer after finalising his transfer back in January, Spurs have also brought in Timo Werner on another loan.

Ange Postecoglou is still searching for more players, however the preseason has already shown some of the exciting young talent he has at his disposal.

The Australian is willing to recruit a new No. 9 and another central midfielder, but he is also open to adding players in other positions should the appropriate player become available.

And that appears to be the case with the latest expected addition, with Tottenham closing in on highly-rated South Korean winger Min-hyuk Yang.

According to Romano, the 18-year-old star is nearing completion of an agreement and will soon undergo medical testing.

He declared: “Tottenham is getting close to signing Gangwon FC’s 2006-born winger Min-hyuk Yang.” After the agreement is fulfilled, there will be medical testing.

Yang made his debut for Gangwon FC last season and has since been hailed as a “powerful” winger and “diamond” talent.

At the age of 18, he contributed ten goals to the K League 1 last season. Given Son Heung-min’s legendary status in both his own country and north London, it is not shocking that a team of Tottenham’s calibre is vying for the gifted teenager.

Yang played in 24 of the 26 available league games during the 2023/24 season, which was more than any other player for the South Korean club. However, he now looks set for a switch to the English Premier League.

Due to his lack of experience, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Spurs look to loan him out when the deal is officially announced.

Moving to the Premier League is a huge step up for a player coming straight from South Korea and a temporary switch is likely to be the best thing for his development.

But in terms of Tottenham’s transfer strategy, Yang will give them another top young talent for the future.

Trade for Tottenham’s midfield is still being discussed

Meanwhile, Romano has also stated that Tottenham and Aston Villa remain in discussions over a potential swap deal involving midfielders Giovani Lo Celso and Jabon Ramsey.

Nothing is happening at this time, although it’s believed that Villa are considering a sale after spending £50 million to get Amadou Onana from Everton.

Spurs are rumoured to make an offer of £20 million to sign Lo Celso, with Villa manager Unai Emery having previously worked with the Argentine at PSG and Villarreal.

After failing to translate his international form onto the club scene during his four years at Tottenham, Lo Celso is surplus to requirements in north London.

Ramsey, on the other hand, is thought to be an ideal fit for Postcoglou’s style of play in north London and would probably play as a No. 8 in the midfield engine room for Spurs.
