Two Everton targets ‘listed for sale’ as sources reveal Wilfried Gnonto transfer update

Everton have made a great start to the transfer market, with three acquisitions and talks underway for Leeds winger Wilfried Gnonto.

The Toffees have so far re-signed Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds and recruited Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye on permanent contracts.

They’ve also sold Ben Godfrey and Lewis Dobbin for around £20 million each, while Amadou Onana is close to signing a £50 million deal with Aston Villa.

Everton is currently in compliance with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations (PSR), allowing for further acquisitions for the upcoming season.

Everton and Leeds have resumed talks to sign Gnonto, who they missed out on last summer. Newcastle is also interested, according to TEAMtalk.

According to sources, the transfer for Gnonto has yet to be completed.

We understand that a contract is not yet finalised, but conversations are ongoing, and the player remains as interested in the move as he was a year ago.

However, with Sean Dyche presently only having three natural wingers at his disposal in Harrison, Dwight McNeil, and veteran Ashley Young, the Toffees may look to add further reinforcements to the position.

Everton get chance to sign two other targets

Everton has identified Napoli winger Jesper Lindstrom as a ‘priority target’ for the summer, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old was a highly sought-after talent in Europe before joining Napoli for £25 million last summer, but has battled to establish himself in the Serie A.

He failed to score a single goal for the Italian giants last season, which contrasts with his last club, Eintracht Frankfurt, where he excelled.

Lindstrom is a self-confessed Liverpool fan who, however, turned down a move to Anfield last summer because he did not believe he would get consistent playing time there.

According to The Mirror, Everton is ‘exploring a deal’ for both Lindstrom and Gnonto, while Napoli is ‘interested’ in moving the winger.

Everton has been interested in former Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, who joined Marseille last summer but has unable to live up to expectations.
