The young Tottenham midfielder making a huge impression on Ange Postecoglou and his coaches

It’s time for the latest episode of our podcast Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham with our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest Archie Gray has been settling in well so far and impressing following his £40million move from Leeds to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 18-year-old joined Spurs this month in a trade that sent Joe Rodon the other way after playing 52 games for Leeds last season and winning Championship Young Player of the Season.Although Gray is a natural center midfielder, he spent a large portion of the previous campaign playing right-back, a position in which Ange Postecoglou utilized him on Saturday during the second half of a private practice match versus Cambridge United.

But it’s anticipated that Gray will play a major role in midfield and football. London is aware that during the first week or so of preseason training, the teenager has already made an impression on Postecoglou and his staff. The two also discussed how the North London team has to begin bringing in additional transfers before their preseason trip to Asia begins the following week. Postecoglou and the group first head to Edinburgh to play Hearts on Wednesday, then on Saturday afternoon, they play QPR.
