Celtic Are Considering Using Mentor Angle For Upcoming Boys

Since Joe Hart retired at the end of the previous season, Brendan Rodgers has been trying to add more depth to his goalkeeping unit.

Kasper Schmeichel, a free agent who is expected to be Celtic’s starting goalie for the upcoming campaign, is being brought in.

Viljami Sinisalo, a Finland international, is expected to join the Bhoys from Aston Villa for a reported £1 million.

Additionally, it’s said that Schmeichel wants to serve as the 22-year-old’s mentor at Celtic.

They want Sinisalo to absorb as much of the Danish goalie’s experience as possible since they believe he can learn a lot from the seasoned stopper.

As an indication of Celtic’s faith in him, Sinisalo will be signing a long-term contract.

The goalkeeper has had three stints on loan at Aston Villa, spending time with Ayr United, Burton Albion, and Exeter City in League One of the English football league last season.
