Everton eyeing summer swoop for £35m striker from Premier League rivals to replace Beto

Everton’s summer has gotten off to a positive start with Sean Dyche’s options in attack taking a boost.

With Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye, the Toffees have already been able to add two fresh faces to Goodison Park this summer.
But Everton also lost a lot of players on Merseyside last month when they had to balance the books against PSR.

The largest summertime departure was Ben Godfrey, a defender who signed a £10 million contract to join Atalanta in Italy.

Interest in one forward player is growing, so more might come, but Everton appears ready with a Premier League striker on their radar as a possible alternative.

Everton eyeing summer swoop for striker from Premier League rivals

Beto, the striker who joined Everton only last summer, has doubts about his future.

The striker from Portugal joined from Udinese in a rumored deal of almost £26 million.

But after just a year, Everton is anticipating attention from Fenerbahce, a Turkish team that may make a loan move bid for him.

The Toffees seem to be preparing for the approach from the Turkish side this summer with Fanatik stating they hold an interest in Chelsea’s Armando Broja.

The Premier League is reportedly interested in selling the Albanian international, Broja, and Chelsea are receptive to the idea this summer.

According to earlier rumors, Chelsea may want to pay around £35 million for the 22-year-old in the upcoming weeks.

Armando Broja still has a lot to prove in the Premier League

Strikers who have progressed through the ranks of Premier League teams and unable to get into the first squad are numerous.

Last season, Broja was loaned out to Fulham once more, where he played just 81 minutes in the second part of the season.

But given that Frank Lampard, his former boss, has spoken so highly of the player in the past, it is clear that he is still regarded highly.

In 2022, Lampard told the reporters, “He’s a very nice, very good lad and a very talented young boy.”

He’s a very, very talented young player who is powerful, quick, and has a great eye for goal, so I’m well aware of his advantages in a Southampton team playing very well.”
