‘Ridiculous’ 12-goal winger hands Liverpool and Crystal Palace boost as he makes Barcelona admission

Winger Jadon Philogene of Hull City has been candid about his plans moving forward as he gets ready to leave the EFL Championship.

Jaden Philogene has been strongly linked to a summer transfer to Barcelona, according to HITC, who also claims that the Spanish powerhouses have seen the English winger play for the Tigers.

The English winger is reportedly admired by Liverpool as well; Andrew Robertson is another player who came from Hull to Anfield before him.

West Ham United and Everton have reportedly expressed interest in the player as well, but it seemed like a transfer to the Catalan giants was getting closer to happening.

Philogene remarks on Barcelona’s transfer

In an interview with talkSPORT, Acun Ilicali, the chairman of Hull City, stated that he did not want to keep players against their will, seemingly alluding to Philogene.

“Everything is real,” stated Ilicali. Naturally, if you ask me, I promised my fans that I would never sell anyone. My goal in football isn’t to become wealthy. My plan is to form a more powerful and expansive club.

“However, in order to grow a larger team, there are instances when a player expresses their desire to go. In my opinion, it doesn’t mean the end of the game if one person changes.

Fabrizio Romano on X has quoted Philogene regarding his future, and it seems to confirm—surprisingly—that a move to Barcelona is not happening.

“I chose the Premier League because it is the clearest offer I have, but my dream is still La Liga,” Philogene said. “Barça is my dream, I hope I can sign for them one day. My idols are Ronaldinho and Neymar.”

Philogene’s admission gives Crystal Palace a significant boost.

The English teams that are rumoured to be interested will benefit greatly from Philogene’s admission that a move to the Premier League is imminent.

With 12 goals, including an incredible rabona goal that former boss Liam Rosenior called “ridiculous,” and six assists for Hull, the winger finished the Championship with a total of 12 goals.

Palace needs to replace Michael Olise, and HITC has learned from sources that the Eagles are among the teams interested in the former winger for Aston Villa.
