Player departs from practice on Friday; Seagulls have already agreed to a deal; move to Brighton is suggested to be “imminent.”

Expressen in Sweden earlier today revealed that Brighton & Hove Albion had managed to secure a contract with IFK Göteborg for the recruitment of Malick Yalcouyé for SEK 120 million [€9 million] despite fierce competition.

Additionally, it was reported that the Premier League team needed to reach a personal agreement with the 18-year-old, and it was anticipated that they would resolve this issue quickly.

The midfielder’s transfer to Brighton may now be “imminent,” according to Fotbollskanalen, following a recent development.

In preparation for their July 7th match against IFK Värnamo, Yalcouyé exercised with his teammates today.

According to the report, the child barely practiced for thirty minutes before making his way out of the group and into the changing room. This can mean that his move is “imminent,” and both Göteborg and the team of Fabian Hürzeler wish to minimise any chance of an injury.

It also suggests that the English club would have worked out personal terms with the player if the move was imminent. The reason behind the young midfielder’s early departure from training on Friday will soon become clear.

Yalcouyé played 14 games for ASEC Mimosas, a team based in the Ivory Coast, before joining Göteborg at the beginning of the current campaign.
