Newcastle and Everton ‘most interested’ in signing – Player with PL desire wants to move ‘as soon as possible’

Gazzetta dello Sport reported two months ago that Everton had made contact with Arthur Melo about signing him. We reported on Italian reports earlier this week suggesting Newcastle United has joined the Toffees in their pursuit of the Juventus midfielder.

Federico Pastorello, Arthur’s agent, has already stated that he needs to come up with a solution for his client by the end of the summer.

The 27-year-old’s interest in Newcastle and Everton is supported by Marca, who also offers the most recent information on this case.

Arthur was able to make an impression during his brief stay at Fiorentina last season, following a dismal loan spell at Liverpool in 2022–2023. A few clubs have been persuaded to try to get his signature by this.

The midfield player is being watched by Spanish teams, but the Italian and English teams are reportedly the “most interested” in signing him. Newcastle and Everton are mentioned as English teams.

According to reports, Sean Dyche’s team has been closely monitoring his circumstances, and the Magpies have enquired about the Brazilian.

Marca asserts that this information is their own. They have learned that the player would want to return to the Premier League, but he will accept a stay in Serie A, where he is being courted by AS Roma and Napoli.

During preseason training, new Juventus manager Thiago Motta wants to take a peek at his countryman. According to the source, Arthur “doesn’t want to wait” and wants to decide on his future “as soon as possible.”

It remains to be seen if he will be able to fulfill his dream of playing regularly and feeling valued at a team such as Newcastle, Everton, or another.

There is no indication that Arthur or the Turin team would get an offer from any of the interested clubs.
