Aston Villa transfer ‘imminent’ after loan deal revelation

The most recent information on Aston Villa transfers as Philippe Coutinho approaches his much awaited departure from the team

According to reports, Philippe Coutinho’s transfer drama will come to an end “imminently” as he finalizes a second loan move out from the team.

Since the arrival of Nou Emery, the Brazilian has not been present at Villa; nonetheless, attempts to obtain his permanent departure have not been successful thus far. He was sent to Al-Duhail of Qatar last summer on a season-long loan with the intention of completing his departure during the current transfer window.

Negotiations with his boyhood club, Vasco da Gama, have proven to be protracted in order to accomplish this. Originally intended for Coutinho’s permanent transfer, the terms were later revised to a loan, and ultimately it appeared that the only way this would happen was if his contract with West Midlands was terminated to enable his free signing in Brazil.

However, John Percy and Fabricio Romano corroborate the notion that Coutinho will stay on Villa’s books and will only move on loan once more, with no deal termination to occur, based on a recent South American story. This is to happen “imminently,” with two willing parties reaching a “very close” agreement to move it forward.

As the likelihood of the 32-year-old playing in claret and blue increases, he departs for the second time in as many summers, having made 43 appearances during which he has assisted three goals and scored six.

In five days, on July 10, Brazil’s transfer window opens, and Vasco may then formally register the returning midfield player for play. With 14 points from 14 games, the Rio de Janeiro-based team is currently ranked 14th halfway through their current campaign.
