Despite the £150 million price tag, a former scout is adamant that Tottenham can still sign a Premier League winger.

Bryan King is adamant that Tottenham can still sign Jarrod Bowen, a winger for West Ham United.

Ex-scout Bryan King, who spoke exclusively to Tottenham Hotspur News, said Tottenham Hotspur may sign West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen, but he doesn’t think anyone will pay £150 million for him.

The Premier League’s most reliable player is the English winger who is presently playing for the Three Lions on international duty. For the Hammers, he consistently contributes goals and assists, making him their most important player.

The 27-year-old English winger has made 202 appearances for the team, tallying 39 assists and 60 goals. He made 44 appearances in the previous season, netting 10 assists and 20 goals in all competitions.

Bowen, who is about to enter his peak, has demonstrated enough potential to be granted a high-profile transfer to a major league team soon. As a player, he has outgrown West Ham, but the team is making it tough for him to depart.

Regarding Bowen and his future with the team, Bryan King shared his thoughts about Tottenham’s prospects of acquiring him.

That amount of money would never be paid for Bowen. Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney might likely be acquired by Spurs for that sum. This tale is fantastical. It’s not impossible, though, that Bowen will eventually transfer to Tottenham. Martin Peters moved to Tottenham, and Jimmy Greaves moved to West Ham. There aren’t many greater names than that. There’s no reason Bowen can’t make the transition if those two can.

No club would want to spend this kind of money on Bowen, as King has pointed out. It would be an extremely rash move if a team took the plunge, so Tottenham shouldn’t be acting in this manner.

Dejan Kulusevski is the right wing for the Spurs right now, with Brennan Johson filling in. Though the latter can also play on the left flank, the former has found it difficult to regain the level of performance he displayed when he first joined the team.

Spurs should consider signing Bowen if the proper price is offered. Because of his versatility and directness, he fits right into Ange Postecoglou’s preferred system. But we can’t exert extreme effort to achieve this.

More updates about Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham is unlikely to make a play for the winger until West Ham lowers their asking price. Going forward, it is unclear if there will be any developments on this front.
