Daniel Levy has embarrassed himself again after Tottenham transfer bid turned down

One thing to love about Daniel Levy is that he will not compromise for anyone at Tottenham Hotspur.

Even when Spurs had trophy-winning managers in their dugouts, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, the man in the boardroom had his own way of doing things.

That’s why Mourinho was wrongly fired one week before the League Cup final. Given the club’s eagerness to win the trophy, one has to ask what the thought was behind it all.

Ange Postecoglou is now in charge of Tottenham, attempting to turn around a ship that even the best of the best have struggled with.

One thing to like about Celtic’s Treble winner is his no-nonsense approach; his initial season was a breath of fresh air, and he has restored attacking football to north London.

Postecoglou will gain insight into Levy’s transfer market approach, even during challenging times.

Euro 2024 and Copa America are causing distractions in the 2024 summer transfer market.

Spurs continue to conduct business, bringing back Timo Werner on loan and signing Archie Grey, a highly rated Leeds United teenager.

Tottenham continue to invest in their midfield, indicating a desire to improve further.

Aston Villa turn down Tottenham Hotspur’s offer for Jacob Ramsey

Levy is targeting Aston Villa’s excellent midfielder, Jacob Ramsey, to join Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham’s sporting director, Johan Lange, who previously worked at Villa, appears to have had a role in this, but Levy has once again embarrassed himself.

According to HITC sources, the Europa League club offered £20 million and midfielder Giovani Lo Celso in exchange for Ramsey.

However, Unai Emery has made it clear to the Villa Park hierarchy that Ramsey, who had an injury-plagued campaign last season, is not going anywhere.

Remember Jack Grealish and Josh Onomah…

Who could forget?! What did Levy do in 2018, when Villa were in the Championship and struggling financially? Birmingham Live reported an offer of £3 million plus Josh Onomah for Jack Grealish.

Many years later, the Midlands club sold its academy product to Manchester City for £100 million, where he went on to win the Triple.

Levy needs to appreciate how essential Ramsey is to Villa and how popular he is among the fans.

Last season was a wash because he missed the preseason due to injury, experienced a setback as soon as he returned to action, and was in and out before his season ended abruptly.

Many Villa fans see Ramsey as the next most important attacking player after star scorer Ollie Watkins.

When Villa sells Omari Kellyman to Chelsea for £20 million, Ramsey’s value is significantly higher, regardless of whether Lo Celso is included in the sale.

If Spurs value the Argentine so highly when it comes to midfielders, they wouldn’t sell him, right?!

In any case, Levy will never learn, and it will be intriguing to see how the Postecoglou period unfolds, particularly when things become truly rough.
