Everton on pole position to sign ‘sensational’ £30m striker from Premier League rival

Everton are now on pole position to sign one Chelsea player during the transfer window, as the Toffees look to continue their bright start to the summer.

The Toffees’ early-summer workload has probably shocked a few people. Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye have signed permanent contracts, and Jack Harrison is back for a second loan term.

Given the rumors that Dominic Calvert-Lewin would leave Everton, it is not shocking that they seem to be in a good position to add one striker to the Premier League this summer.

A report from Tuttomercatoweb claims that Everton is now in the lead to sign Armando Broja.

from Chelsea, with the Albanian international also being admired by Wolves and AC Milan.Armando Broja is expected to be signed by Everton.

After sustaining a significant injury, Broja had a challenging time. Chelsea had loaned the 22-year-old to Fulham for the second part of the previous season.

In his eight games with the Cottagers, he was unable to score, while Rodrigo Muniz’s outstanding play kept Broja out of the starting lineup for the majority of the loan period.

According to reports, Chelsea is willing to sell Broja for £30 million, but it’s unclear if Everton would be willing to accept those terms.

Why Chelsea should be open to fresh loan move

Given that Broja’s contract with the Blues expires in2028, Everton may believe they have a chance to persuade Chelsea to let the forward to leave Stamford Bridge on loan before the upcoming campaign. This would give Chelsea less incentive to sell.

Naturally, Chelsea will want to increase revenue to support their own spending plan, but giving him a year’s loan may potentially significantly impact his value after a full year.

Having said that, Everton might be certain that if he fulfills his “sensational” potential with the Toffees, his asking price will end up being a true steal.

Sean Dyche’s team must believe that he has a far greater ceiling than many people realize, especially after the previous season, because they are currently supposedly in first place.
