Everton confirm arrival of two record-breaking striker signings after beating Brighton to deal

The teenagers have joined Everton Academy.

Everton have added two new academy members.

The Toffees have named the 12 latest students who will join the under-18s for the 2024-25 season.They attended a presentation evening at Goodison Park on Monday.

One of the players is Braiden Graham. Everton has signed a striker from Northern Irish club Lindfield. Graham became the club’s youngest player in history, making his debut at the age of 15 years and 137 days.

 

Graham, a Northern Ireland under-18 international, stated in an interview with the Belfast Telegraph that he visited the club at the end of the 2022/23 season and felt it was a great fit for him. Everton seemed to offer a promising future for me. It simply felt perfect.

“I was at Goodison Park on the last day of that season, when Everton beat Bournemouth 1-0 to stay up.” While watching that game, I thought, ‘I want to play here’.

“My goal this season is to play in the Youth Cup at Goodison Park and then move on to the new stadium the following season.

“I want to settle in as quickly as possible in the Under-18s, then go to the Under-21s and make the first team as soon as feasible.

“I watch every Premier League game. The dream is to play in the Premier League. I’ve had that dream since I was a kid, and it’s my objective.”

Everton has also signed Ceiran Loney, a promising forward. He joins from Scottish team Patrick Thistle and makes his senior debut in a 4-1 loss to Dundee in May, becoming the club’s youngest ever player.

According to the Daily Record, Brighton & Hove Albion displayed interest after Loney scored twice in a friendly during his trial spell.
