£70 million The unexpected “stepping stone” revelation made by Nottingham Forest’s star is good news for Arsenal and Liverpool.

The statement made by Nottingham Forest centre defender Murillo on his transfer to the team will be very encouraging to Arsenal and Liverpool.

The 21-year-old Brazilian defender has been one of Nottingham Forest’s standout performers since moving to the City Ground last summer as they have escaped relegation.

Following their punishment for breaking financial fair play regulations, Forest appeared headed for relegation from the Premier League; but, much like Sean Dyche’s Everton, Nuno Espirito Santo kept the East Midlands team in the top division.

The Brazilian defender was a major contributor to this, and several Premier League teams have expressed interest in signing him this summer.

Murillo opens up on Forest move and makes surprise admission

PL Brasil go on to claim that Murillo joked about moving to Chelsea this summer.

Multiple Premier League clubs keen on Murillo

The Brazilian only moved to the City Ground last summer, and HITC understands that Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool are all interested in signing him.

Murillo left Brazil to join Forest. It is believed that Forest and Corinthians are seeking a payment comparable to what Everton is asking for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Although United and Branthwaite have reached an agreement over a summer transfer, it is said that the Toffees are holding out for an Englishman’s transfer cost of £70 million. Forest thinks Murillo ought to be treated with the same respect as the English defender.

If interested parties step up to sign the Brazilian, Forest is reportedly not under any pressure to sell and will drive a hard bargain for the 21-year-old.

Murillo has been speaking to the media out in Brazil and has made a rather surprising admission that will be good news to some of the top sides in England.

The Brazilian responded to a question regarding the reports that his asking price was £70 million, tellingPL Brasil: “I don’t know if it’s 70 [million pounds], but I know there’s been a rumour of interest.” I’m not sure how much it is exactly, but I do know that interest was expressed.

When asked what motivated him to relocate to Forest, Murillo revealed something quite intriguing.

“It was my opinion because I thought that and I dreamed of being a Premier League player.” “I’ll go to Nottingham Forest, have a good year, and then go to a big club,” I declared. I was thinking about this, said Murillo.
