Record-breaking teen signs Everton contract in exciting update

Braiden Graham, a highly rated adolescent, and 11 other scholars have secured full-time contracts with Everton, the club said [2 July].

The 16-year-old Northern Irish attacker has committed his future to Goodison Park after signing a contract with the Toffees.

Everton selected 12 scholars, who attended a presentation before securing full-time contracts with the club.

Graham was one of those who signed, having joined from Linfield, where he broke the club’s record for youngest-ever player at 15 years and 137 days old.

Everton sign Braiden Graham on full-time contract

Graham arrived to Goodison Park at the age of 16 and has definitely impressed enough to secure a contract with the club.

Given the prominent nature of the Toffees’ financial troubles throughout the years, he has plenty of opportunities to impress more.

This has been alleviated by the probable new ownership of Dan Friedkin, who may attempt to leverage his current relations with Roma in the future.

Having said that, Sean Dyche may consider using the young academy in the future.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been linked with a move elsewhere, therefore there may be openings in future roles.

Graham is young and unlikely to make regular appearances for Everton’s first team, but he has previous experience playing men’s football.

This experience may benefit him in the future, especially as he was one of the most sought-after players to sign as a scholar at Goodison Park.
