‘Powerful’ £60m striker has just proved why he’s the perfect signing for Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou isn’t aiming for a conventional number nine, but it’s believed that he wants a new forward at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Postecoglou prefers a front three that can switch places on the fly and are tactically agile, as seen by his title-winning teams at Celtic.

Though it was up for debate, Ottenham’s greatest forward line from the previous campaign was probably Son Heung-min, Richardson, and Brennan Johnson.

Furthermore, even though Timo Werner and Dejan Kulusevski might feel unfairly treated, the Spurs front three is still far from Postecoglou’s ideal in terms of style.

At Celtic, Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Daizen Maeda’s flowing combination was occasionally unstoppable.

Ange Postecoglou doesn’t need a striker like Jonathan David.

Jonathan David was recently connected to Tottenham as a possible Richarlison substitute, but Toney has a far more intriguing skill set.

The 28-year-old can dash in behind opposing defences, hold up play, and has great aerial strength.

In addition, Toney is a superb passer, finisher, and penalty taker, much like Harry Kane, which helps to explain why Tottenham would have regretted blocking a trade.

Although Spurs should support Postecoglou if he chooses not to move, some supporters may find this to be incongruous with his decision.

Although it may seem overly optimistic, Toney has the ability to completely change this Tottenham team for the upcoming campaign. There is ample proof of
