Newcastle United are targeting Nottingham Forest attacker Anthony Elanga as a replacement for exit-linked Miguel Almiron, TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal.
Newcastle United are considering selling Almiron, a 30-year-old Paraguayan who has been with the club since January 2019. Almiron is a target for an undisclosed Saudi Pro League club, who are set to offer Newcastle more for the right winger than European sides.
Eddie Howe, Newcastle’s manager, is looking for an inverted winger to play on the right. Elanga, who previously played in that position for Nottingham Forest, is an ideal candidate.

Elanga shined in his debut season at the City Ground, scoring five goals and providing nine assists in 36 Premier League games.
Elanga has more than justified his original £15 million price tag and played a major role in Forest’s survival in the Premier League, but his impressive performances have piqued the interest of top-flight rivals.
The Swedish international drew Newcastle’s attention during their two meetings last season, assisting two goals in Forest’s surprise win at St James’ Park on Boxing Day and scoring one at the City Ground.
