Everton move “100% done,” announcement expected shortly; two deals likely

Everton had a successful start to the transfer window, and TEAMtalk sources have revealed they will shortly reveal the arrival of their third player.

Even if the Toffees have already recruited Jack Harrison on a loan from Leeds United and acquired Tim Iroegbunam for £9 million, there is still much work to be done.

Before they filed their accounts on Sunday, Everton allegedly met all of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability requirements thanks to the sales of Ben Godfrey (£11 million) and Lewis Dobbin (£9 million).

Now, TEAMtalk can exclusively disclose that Iliman Ndiaye, a star for Marseille, is “100% done” with a permanent transfer to Everton valued at about €20 million (with add-ons).

Prior to signing, the Senegalese international spent four years at Sheffield United.

There has been speculation online because Ndiaye had his Everton medical on Wednesday but an official announcement is yet to be released by the Merseyside club.

But TEAMtalk can exclusively confirm that Ndiaye completed his medical exam without any issues and will soon be introduced as a new player for the Toffees.

The 23-year-old will face Abdoulaye Doucoure for a starting spot at Goodison Park because his natural position is number 10.

Ndiaye will give Sean Dyche and his team cover in a variety of locations as he can play as a winger or center-forward.

He is most known to Sheffield United supporters for his 14 goals and 11 assists in 46 Championship games during the team’s 2022–2023 promotion run.

Done, Ndiaye to Everton; Toffees eye Chelsea’s forward

Ndiaye, however, won’t be Everton’s only acquisition of the summer; rumours have it that Kevin Thelwell, the sporting director, is also keen to add a new natural center-forward to the team.

Even though Dominic Calvert-Lewin was supposed to move to Newcastle, where Yankuba Minteh would have collapsed, his future is still under scrutiny.

The 27-year-old’s contract only has 12 months left on it, and talks to extend it are presently at a stalemate.

If the Toffees are unable to sign the striker to new terms, sources predict they will trade the player this summer. Thelwell is reportedly considering a number of possible alternatives.

Among them is striker Armando Broja of Chelsea, who has maintained Everton’s attention despite being strongly associated to the team under Frank Lampard’s management.

According to a journalist Jacob Steinberg update, Everton is “strong contenders” to recruit Broja, who has fallen out of favour and didn’t perform well when on loan at Fulham the previous season.

According to reports, Wolves and Chelsea are both interested in signing Broja, who may fetch up to £35 million from them. The Toffees probably wouldn’t be able to pay that price without selling Calvert-Lewin.

Remarkably, Chelsea is among the teams monitoring Calvert-Lewin’s circumstances.
