Everton complete signing of ex-Arsenal striker after fending off ‘plenty of competition from other clubs’

At Goodison Park, the striker inked a three-year contract.

Omari Benjamin has officially signed with Everton.

After leaving Arsenal at the end of the previous season, the striker signs a three-year contract to play for the Blues’ under-21 team.

Benjamin was put on trial at Everton for a portion of the 2023–24 season. In a 2-1 victory over Tottenham, the eventual Premier League 2 winners, he scored.

The 18-year-old has been capped for Wales’ under-19 team and played for Arsenal in the UEFA Youth League during the 2023–24 season. Benjamin said on the Everton website after joining the Toffees, “This is a really exciting opportunity for me.” I’m eager to demonstrate my abilities on the pitch and thrilled

“When I came here on trial, the boys and staff were really nice, there was a good feel to the club and everyone was really welcoming so it made to easy to sign here.”

“I consider myself to be a dynamic forward who enjoys driving at opponents and netting goals. I can’t wait to get going. My goal for this season is to demonstrate my abilities. In the long run, I hope to play for Everton and contribute as much as I can to the club while also getting an opportunity to shine in the senior team setup.

“We are delighted to welcome Omari to Everton,” said Gareth Prosser, head of Everton’s academy. Despite stiff competition from other clubs, our team gave it their all to get him to Finch Farm.

“Omari is very talented, and we are excited to work with him to help him reach his full potential.”
