Bryan King has piled praise on Ashley Young after the full-back agreed a contract extension with Everton.
The 38-year-old’s presence in the locker room, according to the former Goodison scout, might be crucial come playoff time.
Young has signed a one-year contract extension with the Toffees, Everton stated via X on June 25.
Speaking only to Goodison News, King maintains that the player made the right choice in making this choice.
King declared, “I believe Young deserves this new contract.”
“He has demonstrated his excellence as a professional. He has competed at the greatest level and taken home numerous big awards.
“You need players in your squad who have that experience if you’re bringing in young players.” This is truly merited.
“Well done to him; he has proven that he is still capable of playing.”
