The “best” player that money can buy this summer, according to Pundit, is already at Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace is a hotbed for talent right now and despite the expected departure of Michael Olise, the club still possesses a gem.

Thanks to Oliver Glasner’s incredible form, Crystal Palace stole the show in the last few months of the Premier League season.
Among their notable victories was a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United at Selhurst Park, which established the Eagles as a formidable new power in the league.
But as wealthier teams entered the competition, there was always a danger that key players might be sold.
Palace has been informed that they still possess perhaps the best player money could buy this summer, even if they may lose Michael Olise.

Pat Nevin thinks Ebere Eze is the best possible bit of business this summer

Eze’s future is far from decided this summer, and now speaking on the BBC’s Euro 2024 round of 16 preview, pundit Pat Nevin lauded Ebere Eze and explained why he is the best possible signing this summer for any club.
“I don’t think there is a better player that people can buy than Eze. I think he is the best in the business there is just right now.
“I don’t think anyone has actually got more skills than him in that sort of area. He has not had an opportunity yet.”
Eze has been incredible for Crystal Palace, particularly under Glasner so really it’s not a shock to see him praised so heavily.
Palace will count themselves lucky that they have Eze although it’s both a blessing and a curse considering he will undoubtedly be a target for many clubs over the next few months.

Most likely, other teams think it makes sense to sign Eze as well.

While it’s all well and good for Palace to have the best player money can buy, it won’t do much good if clubs arrive with their interest in signing him.
This is particularly true because, according to HITC, Eze is upset that Olise left the team this summer because, in his opinion, Glasner should have retained him for the following campaign.
Given the release clause, Palace didn’t really have an option, but now that Liverpool and Spurs are two of the teams interested in Eze, the Eagles might not have one again.
The Eagles will want to retain Eze, but like Olise, it may be difficult because of his high price and release clause, which make him a hard sell to other teams.
Nevertheless, Marc Guehi might wind up staying even if Eze and Olise depart because no teams are willing to pay his £60 million price tag.
