Everton are showing strong interest in signing Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

The Toffees have been strongly linked with a move for the 22-year-old throughout the summer as they aim to bolster their forward areas.

Jacob Steinberg claims that Chelsea is trying to reduce the number of players in their roster in order to remain under the PSR cap.

On June 30, a journalist for The Guardian revealed that Chelsea was now able to sell Everton the forward Broja of Albania.

Before Sunday night’s (30 June) accounting deadline, the London team is trying to move players, and Broja is for sale.

Negotiations are still continuing on, despite Everton’s continued strong interest in the 23-cap Albanian international. The Wolves, Bologna, and AC Milan are all keeping an eye on the forward.

Thus far in the summer transfer window, the Toffees have been extremely busy. The club believes they have done enough to keep inside the Premier League’s financial restrictions (PSR) after offloading Lewis Dobbin and Ben Godfrey.

Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa has also joined Everton, and Jack Harrison from Leeds United has joined on loan. After completing his medical, they have also reached an agreement to sign Iliman Ndiaye, a midfield offensive player for Marseille.

This summer, Sean Dyche will undoubtedly try to add a new striker to his roster. A transfer to Newcastle was rumoured for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, however the agreement fell through because of the player’s salary demands. He has not signed a contract extension at Goodison Park and has one year left on his present agreement.

Beto signed a lucrative contract with Goodison Park last season from Udinese, but he hasn’t had much of an impact. Although Everton is not under any obligation to sell him, Turkish clubs are showing interest in the striker.

Although Broja is a superb young attacker, Mauricio Pochettino has not been able to get much out of him. It would be intriguing to watch if Everton can raise the necessary money to get his signature or persuade Chelsea to permit
