Archie Grey, a star for Leeds United, is reportedly in an incredible turnaround and is currently waiting to go through a medical with Tottenham, sources told Football Insider.
Yesterday, Grey finished his physical with Brentford following Leeds’ acceptance of a £40 million offer that included add-ons.
However, according to insiders, the 18-year-old has changed his mind and is already in advanced negotiations to sign a contract with Spurs, which may be finalised on Sunday.
On Sunday morning, Football Insider exclusively disclosed that Tottenham was preparing a dramatic manoeuvre to sabotage Brentford’s agreement to acquire the teenager.
The England Under-21 international has long caught Ange Postecoglou’s attention, and the team is about to finalise a deal to sign him.
Leeds are in financial strife and need to sell a player for a big fee ahead of Sunday’s accounting deadline.

Following his outstanding play for Leeds the previous season, Football Insider reported on June 6 that Tottenham has a “concrete” interest in signing Grey this summer.
The adaptable athlete, who played right-back for the majority of his breakout season, has caught the eye of multiple elite teams after dazzling scouts with his performances.
Leeds just missed out on promotion back to the Premier League following their play-off final loss to Southampton the previous year. In 52 games, Grey started 47 of them.
After the adolescent signed a contract and had a physical, Brentford was in the lead to sign him, but Tottenham is currently in advanced negotiations to sign him.
Although Grey signed a new deal in January of this year that extended until 2028, it is now anticipated that he will depart Elland Road.
Football Insider disclosed last month that, as a result of their inability to advance, Leeds must recover an incredible £150 million in player sales.
