Tottenham waiting for Euro 2024 to end to sign £60m Premier League midfielder

Tottenham are pressing to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze this summer.

The Times reports that Tottenham is prepared to wait until after Euro 2024 to submit a bid for Crystal Palace’s Eze.

Spurs aim to build on their excellent Premier League fifth-place result and narrowly missed Champions League participation in their inaugural season under Ange Postecoglou.

But the team has become an attacking force under the new manager’s direction, and the club is now ready to support Postecoglou throughout this summer’s transfer window.

The midfielder hasn’t played much for Gareth Southgate’s team at the Euros, but he is now overseas on international duty with England.

Many English clubs have been impressed by his performance in the Premier League last season.

In just 27 games for the Eagles, Eze managed to record 11 goals and four assists in the Premier League.

His outstanding performances—especially when playing under manager Oliver Glasner—have demonstrated the midfielder’s ability to both score goals and create opportunities for his teammates.

Tottenham are hopeful of signing the Palace midfielder

The talented offensive midfielder, who hopes to play more at the Euros this summer as England gets ready to play Slovakia in the Round of 16, is someone Spurs are convinced they can sign.

In addition to giving Spurs’ fluid attack—which already features players like Son Heung-min, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski—he would give them another attacking outlet.

Eze may be a great addition to the Spurs team and help them win the Champions League the following year.
