Leeds supported finishing Callum O’Hare’s signing following a friend’s disclosure – expert

According to Paul Robinson, Leeds United is getting close to replacing important attacking players who are headed out the door with Callum O’Hare, an attacker for Coventry City.

Speaking on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Leeds custodian Paul Robinson, who has strong ties at Elland Road, expressed his belief that Daniel Farke and the administration will have a growing sense of who will succeed the departing player this summer.

According to a June 8 article from Football Insider, forwards Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto are two of the players most likely to leave if the squad isn’t immediately guaranteed a berth in the Premier League.

O’Hare’s Coventry contract is set to expire this weekend, making him a free agent this summer. The Whites will be able to sign an injury-marred player for next to nothing who recovered to provide nine goals in just 18 starts the previous season.

Football Insider was exclusively informed on June 19 by Alan Hutton that O’Hare, a friend and former teammate of his at Aston Villa, is being pursued by Leeds to directly replace Summerville, for whom the club is asking £30 million.

O’Hare to sign with Leeds United

The former England youth international’s four-year stint at Coventry is coming to an end, and Leeds United will be aiming to sign him as a free agent this summer. According to former Whites stopper Robinson, Leeds is targeting players who won’t command high fees.

“O’Hare obviously fits into that category of players who Leeds are looking at who won’t cost a lot of money right now,” he stated.

O’Hare doesn’t currently get into that side, but if they get sold, he will. We don’t yet know what will happen with players like Summerville and Gnonto.

“The most important thing for Daniel Farke to do is to be aware of what the board has to offer. “This is nothing new; Leeds will have organised a Premier League budget and a Championship budget last season, and Farke will have some idea of who will be there and who won’t next season. “They’ll have areas of recruitment that they need to look at, but it’s just numbers that they won’t be sure of. “For example, if Summerville goes, they don’t yet know what fee they’ll receive and how much of that can be reinvested into the squad, which is why they’re currently looking at frees and low-cost signings.”
