The club is reportedly seriously contemplating making a move for the Bayern Munich center-back this summer, according to the most recent Manchester United transfer reports.

According to The Athletic, Erik ten Hag is “seriously considering” making a summer transfer for the Bayern Munich defender.Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton is another player that United is interested in acquiring during the transfer season to bolster their defensive options.
It is further stated that signing Branthwaite by United is not a must for pursuing De Ligt. However, outgoings during the window will determine whether or if two central defenders are signed.
