€20-30 million- Wanted by PL as a rated attacker Club wishes to switch to Tottenham

Crystal Palace target Marcus Edwards would favour a return to his former club Tottenham Hotspur.

Marcus Edwards, a previous academy graduate, has been linked to Spurs as they try to bolster their flanking depth. Although the Sporting CP forward is being courted by Crystal Palace, the Record claims that he would like to rejoin his old team.

After rising through the ranks at Tottenham, Edwards spent 12 years with the team before moving to Vitória Guimarães in 2019. When Spurs made the decision to let go of the winger, they obtained a 50% sell-on clause. Even if he moved to Sporting CP in the 2022 winter, Tottenham will still be paid 30% of any future sell-on fees.

The 25-year-old is an important part of Ruben Amorim’s first team and he even contributed towards 15 goals (6 goals, 9 assists) lasts keen season. While he still has two years left on his deal, the player seem on making a return to England and he could be available for a fee of around €20-30 million this summer.

The people who are interested in signing him are Crystal Palace. Oliver Glasner, their manager, is a huge fan of the winger and would be thrilled to have him available. During his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, he was hoping to sign him. Although it didn’t occur at the time, Glasner is currently advocating for it.

The athlete isn’t interested in moving to Selhurst Park, despite the Eagles’ desire to add him to their roster in the summer. He wishes to rejoin Tottenham, the team he played for as a youth. Spurs will receive a significant discount because they still own more than 30% of his future sales, so they may view him as a cheap option to bolster their assault.
