Transfer news and rumours: Fikayo Tomori to Newcastle United, Moussa Diaby to Al-Nassr, Marc Roca to Real Betis

According to reports, Newcastle United has been informed that in order to capture AC Milan center-back Fikayo Tomori during this summer’s transfer window, they will need to come up with a bid of about £42 million.
Newcastle is reportedly keeping an eye on the Englishman this summer as they look to strengthen their defense in preparation for the 2024–25 campaign.

Tuttosport reports that Milan is willing to let Tomori go, but they would want to pay over £42 million for the midfielder, who still has three years left on his deal.

Before moving to Milan in 2021, the 26-year-old went through Chelsea’s development program. He has played 142 games for the Italian powerhouse in all competitions.

Moussa Diaby, an attacker for Aston Villa, is reportedly wanted by Al-Nassr this summer.

The Daily Mail reports that the Saudi Pro League team has identified Diaby as a potential replacement for Sadio Mane and is open to hearing proposals for the player before to the upcoming season.

According to the source, Villa prevailed in the race to sign the Frenchman from Bayer Leverkusen, despite Al-Nassr’s declared intention in doing so the previous year.

With 54 appearances across all competitions, Diaby notched 10 goals and nine assists in his excellent debut season for Unai Emery’s team.

In other news, Marc Roca, a midfielder for Leeds United, is rumored to be in advanced talks with Real Betis on a permanent move to the La Liga team this summer.

Roca, 27, left Bayern Munich to join Leeds United in June 2022. During the English team’s 2022–2023 Premier League season, he made 32 appearances.

However, the midfielder joined Real Betis on loan last summer and had a successful season, making 37 appearances for the team and contributing four goals and three assists.

The Spaniard’s contract at Elland Road is still in effect for another two years, but Football Insider reports that he is getting closer to joining Real Betis on a permanent basis.

Roca is consequently anticipated to leave the English team after making 36 appearances across all competitions, with one goal and two assists.

Leeds advanced to the Championship playoff final in 2023–24, but lost to Southampton 1-0; as a result, they will play in England’s second division again the following season.
