Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Galatasaray winger Barış Alper Yılmaz, according to a report in the Turkish media.
Due to rumors of an approach from the Seagulls, the Turkey international has been linked to a move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the last week.
Reports on remarks made by Turkish journalist Uğur Karakullukçu in response to questions of interest from Tottenham and Manchester United have been published by Haber Sarikirmizi.
After Turkey’s victory over the Czech Republic last night, Karakullukçu stated he had heard from two Premier League clubs that they will be keeping an eye on Yılmaz because of his impressive performance.
“Baris Alper was observed by Manchester United and Tottenham during the Czech Republic vs. Turkey game. I got confirmation of that. It appears that they will keep watching if things keep going this way, the Turkish journalist stated.
Galatasaray may try to take advantage of Yılmaz this summer since there have been rumors that they want to trade for the right winger. Brighton’s €20 million bid for Yılmaz prompted claims this week from Turkey that they are in negotiations to sign Gökdeniz Bayraktar, a winger for Bodrum F.K. Gala is purportedly negotiating for €25 million.
Last season, he started 28 Super League games and scored seven goals. Galatasaray has Yılmaz under contract until June 2027.
