Previous report suggests that Nuno Espirito Santo will now be gutted about Nottingham Forest decision

Things appear to be moving quickly at Nottingham Forest when it comes to the club getting things prepared for the PSR deadline.

The deadline for the most recent cycle is June 30. Forest is aiming to avoid receiving another point reduction. This has been discussed for weeks.

The Reds are now making a bigger effort to let go of players, as it appears that Moussa Niakhate is close to signing with Lyon.

Shortly after Forest was promoted back to the Premier League in the summer of 2022, the 28-year-old left Mainz to sign with Forest.

Now, a source has revealed Nuno Espirito Santo’s thoughts on the club’s choice to let go of Niakhate this summer.

Report claims how Nuno Espirito Santo will feel at Moussa Niakhate sale

Niakhate’s appointment for a physical by Lyon suggests that Forest will not have him for the upcoming season.

Espirito Santo doesn’t seem to be very happy about this, based on a story from the beginning of June.

The Athletic then stated that Espirito Santo, a major supporter of Niakhate, would oppose any deal for the midfielder.

He will now need to take his medication since the club has determined that he is the fall man when it comes to meeting the standards for the upcoming PSR cycle.

Niakhate played in five of Forest’s final five games to ensure that they finished the season in the Premier League. He made many appearances for Espirito Santo last season.
