Nottingham Forest monitoring “exciting” gem who just outscored Awoniyi

As Nuno Espirito Santo looks to add to his attacking options ahead of next season, Nottingham Forest are reportedly monitoring a future star who outscored Taiwo Awoniyi in the last campaign.

Nottingham Forest transfer news

Marko Stamenic, who will spend the upcoming season on loan at Olympiacos after arriving from Red Star Belgrade, and Eric da Silva Moreira from St Pauli were both welcomed by the Midlands club as they quickly got their summer business underway. Though he is only eighteen, the former will be included in Nuno’s team next season and hope to have an immediate influence.

After signing his contract, the youthful winger stated on the team’s official website, “I’m incredibly thrilled to be here. I’ve heard a lot about the Premier League and a lot of different clubs, so I’m thrilled to be at Nottingham Forest—especially at a team with as much history as my former one.

“My family and I are extremely excited about this new challenge, and I am eager to get going and get to know the club, the people, and the city.”

However, Moreira is not the only young player with promise. Sky Sports reports that Nottingham Forest is keeping an eye on Edmund Baidoo in anticipation of a possible summer transfer. With Sogndal in the second division of Norwegian football, the 18-year-old winger had a fantastic season. He assisted six goals and scored an amazing eight goals in 17 games across all competitions.

At just 18 years old, Baidoo has already contributed 14 goals in 17 games. If Forest decides to make a move in the upcoming months, he might develop into a very good player very fast.

“Exciting” Baidoo can support Awoniyi’s firepower

Even if Awoniyi has improved since joining the Midlands, Espirito Santo and his team still struggle to replace him as the line-leader because of his injury history. Furthermore, Baidoo might prove to be the ideal foil for Awoniyi’s objectives, with Chris Wood expected to depart the City Ground at the end of the month after his current contract expires.

The Reds manager will now look for possibilities inside his Forest squad that have the potential of Baidoo, except Awoniyi. Having scored more goals than Awoniyi in the previous season, the adolescent is already demonstrating his ability to score goals, and he should only get better in the Premier League.Journalist Lawrence Degraft Baidoo, who received a lot of acclaim while in Norway, called the winger’s traits “exciting” on X:

Baidoo fits right into Forest’s strategy this summer of emphasising young players, but it’s unclear if those at the City Ground will take the initiative.
