Enzo Barrenechea, a new player for Aston Villa, has successfully finished his medical examinations as a Juventus midfielder.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus midfielder Barrenechea has finished his medical examination with Aston Villa, meaning that the Premier League team is almost ready to finalize a maxi-swap agreement with the Serie A powerhouse.
Barrenechea will join Aston Villa alongside Samuel Iling-Junior, a product of the Chelsea academy, for €25m plus Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz.
The latter is expected to undergo medical on behalf of Juventus today in the USA.

Barrenechea played 39 games in all competitions while on loan at Frosinone, where he finished the previous season with one goal and one assist.
In a Champions League match at the Allianz Stadium in Turin against PSG in 2022, he made his senior Juventus debut.
When USMNT sensation Weston McKennie declined to join the Premier League team, Barrenechea, a defensive midfielder, was added to the Juve-Aston Villa trade.
