Club ‘make progress’ to sign Nottingham Forest player after days of talks – Wasting no time to secure deal

Lyon are interested in signing Nottingham Forest’s Moussa Niakhaté during the summer transfer window.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna reported on Twitter that the Ligue 1 club has made headway in signing the 28-year-old.

He adds that conversations are underway between the parties, but does not specify whether it is with Nottingham Forest, the defender’s entourage, or both.

Foot Mercato has published extra information on their website. The French club is ‘spending no time’ reshaping their present roster, and things appear to be ‘progressing swiftly’.

It is stated that the parties have been in negotiations for’several days’, with optimism around the agreement.

The French-born Senegalese international signed Nottingham Forest from 1. FSV Mainz 05 in July 2022. He has one year left on his contract, with the option to extend it for another season.

Lyon’make progress’ to recruit Niakhaté, according to Foot Mercato, although no deal with Nottingham Forest has been reached as of yet.
