Chelsea offer two players plus cash for Nottingham Forest star worth £51m as Isak deal is dismissed

Reports state that Chelsea has launched an attempt to capture Nottingham Forest defender Murillo in the midst of interest from London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Since a syndicate led by Todd Boehly acquired the Blues in May 2022, the club has spent over £1 billion, and the Premier League team is still getting used to all the changes.

However, sources suggest Chelsea is intensifying its interest in Murillo, making them appear to be among the Premier League’s most active clubs in the summer window.

Brazilian reports state that Chelsea has made a “proposal” to Nottingham Forest, with the Blues reportedly proposing “two players and an additional amount of money.”

The Brazilian “may be traded,” according to the sources, and Corinthians is reportedly especially interested in a potential sale because they will receive 10% of any agreement.

This summer, Chelsea has already been linked to a number of players, including Nico Williams and Michael Olise. According to a rumour published yesterday, Newcastle United has instructed the Blues to “break the transfer record” in order to get Alexander Isak.

Additionally, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has acknowledged “contacts” regarding a potential trade for Isak, but he maintains that Chelsea cannot afford a deal this summer.
