Everton new stadium: Special guests confirmed as more Goodison Park farewell plans revealed

Everton fans’ favourites Thomas Gravesen, Lee Carsley, and Daniel Amokachi have been confirmed to attend the first of a series of star-studded events commemorating Goodison Park in its historic last season.

Gwladys Street Presents: Cult Heroes will take place at the stadium on Wednesday, August 21. The trio will join members of Sean Dyche’s first-team squad and special-guest host Leon Osman. Osman is presently joint 10th on Everton’s all-time appearance list with Dixie Dean with 433 appearances. Fans will gather at the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End of Goodison Park to hear never-before-heard stories about the club’s history and reflect on what has made it so wonderful.

The full lineup for Gladys Street Presents: Cult Heroes will be announced in the following weeks, including the participation of current players. Osman stated, “I honestly can’t wait for it.”

“I’m quite enthusiastic about the evening and returning to Goodison Park in front of a packed Gwladys Street. Tommy Gravesen and Lee Carsley, my old teammates, will undoubtedly be great, and I can’t wait to hear some of their most memorable stories.

“And, Amo!” I remember Daniel Amokachi from my time as a young player at the club, and he had a significant impact.

“I believe everyone remembers him for his personality both on and off the pitch, and I can’t wait to interview him on stage. I’m happy to know some of the other guests who have signed up, and Everton fans will not be disappointed.”

Season Ticket, Hospitality, and Official Members have a two-day priority window to reserve their seats before the general sale begins at 10am on Friday (June 28) for the event and a similar series for the Everton Giants on Wednesday, October 16.
