Club lineup change following Brighton table’s €20 million bid – Extra €5m may be needed

As per an assertion in the Turkish press, Galatasaray has prepared a substitute for Barış Alper Yılmaz in response to tidings of an offer from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Premier League team reportedly wants to sign the Turkey international this summer, according to recent reports in the UK and Turkish media.

Galatasaray is seeking Bodrum F.K. winger Gökdeniz Bayraktar as they prepare for life without Yılmaz, according to a story published in Dirilis Postasi today. The Turkish champions are reportedly in negotiations to sign the player for €1.5 million.

With Yılmaz rumoured to be the subject of a €20 million bid, Brighton will be happy with the latest news. The English team may need to spend up to €25 million to get the right winger, according to sources.

Personal terms will need to be completed after the competition, as Yılmaz is presently in Germany with the Turkey national team.

The player has previously been connected to Bayer Leverkusen, Lazio, and West Ham United.

Last season, he started 28 Super League games and scored seven goals. Galatasaray has Yılmaz under contract until June 2027.
