Tony Bloom and St. Pauli set to do more business after Fabian Hürzeler move to Brighton

This week, Tony Bloom, the owner of Brighton & Hove Albion, is expected to meet with St. Pauli again as they aim to replace Fabian Hürzeler with Alexander Blessin, the manager of Union SG.

As part of their increased efforts to replace Hürzeler, who left for Brighton earlier this month, BILD reports that St. Pauli is expected to pay almost €1 million to appoint Blessin as their new manager.

A deal is approaching, as rumours from Belgium indicate that Blessin has already notified the Belgian club of St. Pauli’s interest and that his move is just a few days away.

The two teams are debating a sum between €700,000 and €1 million, which is well within the German team’s means considering the €6 million they

They had to have hard talks with Bloom and the Seagulls to get over the queue, but Blessin’s action may have allowed them to receive a portion of their money back.

Because of this agreement, BILD claims that a portion of the Hürzeler transfer price will tangentially return to the Bloom empire, as Bloom continues to be a shareholder in both Brighton and the Belgian team.

That may be a joke rather than a serious statement, but it appears that Bloom and St. Pauli will be working together again on business related to Blessin, who will take Hürzeler’s place at St. Pauli, following the protracted and drawn-out negotiations for Hürzeler.
