Nottingham Forest and West Ham ‘interference’ in transfer – Holds up move elsewhere

Nottingham Forest and West Ham ‘interference’ in transfer – Holds up move elsewhere.

The “interference” of West Ham United and Nottingham Forest has caused Real Betis’ attempts to recruit Vitao, a Brazilian defender, to stall.

That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who claim that because Nottingham Forest and West Ham are involved, Betis have been unsuccessful in their attempts to sign the Brazilian defender.

According to the newspaper, Vitao is one of Betis’ top priorities to bolster their defence as they search for a substitute for Sokratis and Chadi Riad, who both left this summer.

Although Internacional pushed rapidly to close up a deal for him, forcing Betis into an auction with Nottingham Forest and West Ham, they wanted to take advantage of his unique status with Shakhtar Donetsk.

A deal had been agreed, but the Premier League pair’s “interference” has made it challenging for the Spanish team to complete the operation.

That does not imply that Betis has closed the door on a transaction at this time, and Internacional is fully amenable to one provided they receive €10 million in exchange for their 80% ownership stake in the player.

Although Betis has only made one bid thus far—€5 million for half of the player’s rights—they are in talks with the Brazilian team to try to work out a deal. Several teams are following suit, with Nottingham Forest being cited as the primary rival.

Although West Ham isn’t mentioned on that front, they are nonetheless considered because of their desire in and seeming resolve to sign Brazilians this summer.
