Norwich City Coach Departs, Leicester City Bound

According to the BBC, Andrew Hughes resigned from his position at Norwich City in order to become a member of Steve Cooper’s backroom staff at Leicester City.

Cooper was recently appointed to the position at Leicester to succeed Enzo Maresca, who departed the King Power Stadium to pursue a leadership role at Chelsea.

In an attempt to establish himself within Leicester’s backroom staff, he pursued Norwich first team coach Hughes.

Hughes, who was employed by David Wagner at Carrow Road, has already left Norwich after taking the call.

He advances to Leicester, a Premier League team, and becomes a member of Cooper’s backroom crew.

What Hughes’ exact role at the Foxes will be is still unknown.

The management of Norwich also changed lately, with Johannes Hoff Thorup taking them.

With Hughes’ departure, the young Danish leader will have more opportunity to influence the backroom staff, however it is unclear if he would bring in an ally from his native country.
