Everton in talks over signing former Sheffield United forward

Everton are in discussion with Marseille over aquiring Iliman Ndiaye’s signatur

Talks on bringing former Sheffield United attacker Iliman Ndiaye to Everton are underway.

After Jack Harrison returned on loan from Leeds and Tim Iroegbunam was acquired from Aston Villa, the 24-year-old may be Sean Dyche’s third summer addition.

Though no agreement has been reached for the Senegal international, talks with Marseille are proceeding smoothly.

Ndiaye paid £20 million to join the French team in the summer, but he only managed four goals in 46 appearances. But with 14 goals and 10 assists in the previous season, he had been instrumental in Sheffield United’s elevation to the Premier League.

With winger Lewis Dobbin leaving for Aston Villa and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin most likely staying after negotiations with Newcastle broke down, he might provide Everton another attacking option.

With just one year remaining on his current contract and no sign-on offer, the England international is a target for more attention, which Everton should expect.

Ashley Young, who is very close to turning forty, has signed a new one-year contract with Everton.

The manager’s old teammate and former Manchester United captain made 34 appearances in the previous season, making him Everton’s oldest-ever outfield début. He was Dyche’s first signing.

“I signed again without any hesitation,” Young remarked. Before the season ended, I had a conversation with the management. When he asked if I wanted to stay and what I wanted to accomplish, I immediately answered that I did since

In a few weeks, Young will turn 39, but she continued, “I’ve always said that age is just a number.” I am resolute; I still have the drive and faith to go out and perform to the best of my abilities.

Young signs a new deal in tandem with club captain Seamus Coleman as Dyche’s roster for the upcoming campaign takes form.
